Bring Your Book to Life
Audiobooks
You’ve written a book! (or a dissertation, or a white paper, or something long and complicated you’ve spent loads of time on) CONGRATULATIONS!
Now you’re considering broadening the reach of your labor by adding an audiobook, but you’ve no idea where to begin. Or you’ve done this before and found the process of audiobooking more laborious the writing the damn thing in the first place.
No matter your experience or lack thereof, Audiotocracy can help you get to the joy part faster. And probably for considerably less expense than you feared.
SERVICES
- Talent procurement. For those who aren’t keen to narrate their work themselves, we have experienced voice actors who understand not only dramatic tension but also narrating for audio.
- Narration direction. For those who are keen to narrate their work, we have several directors who have worked on highly successful podcast and on-stage dramas who can help you unleash your inner ACTOR (you must shake your fist at the sky when you say ACTOR — we don’t make the rules).
- Talent management. We’ll work with you and your narrator of choice to be sure you get the audiobook you’re dreaming of.
- Recording. In-studio available, or we can help you optimize your space to reduce costs. If you choose the DIY route of reading it yourself, we can help you select gear that gives you high-quality sound, dependably, at a reasonable price (and without all that faffing around with gear when you just want to record, for crying out loud).
- Production. To Amazon/Audible’s ACX standards. (If you want to talk LUFFs and noise floors, we’re game, but if you’d rather leave that to us, we get it.)
If you’re curious but not quite ready to leap, feel free to set up a free, 45-minute consultation with us!

Nearly 30 years ago David walked by an audition posting for a local playwright’s festival and said, “That sounds like fun!” That spontaneous jump onto the stage led him to perform in numerous staged productions. However, he discovered voice acting to be an ideal fit and parlayed his many years of theater experience into audiobook narration and podcast production. As an Audible Approved Producer, David produces and performs in numerous audiobooks and is the creator of the audio drama A Ninth World Journal, co-producer of Deconstructive Criticism and Listen, Rinse, Repeat podcasts and appears in many other audio dramas.
David lives in Tacoma, WA where he and his wife spend time with family or jaunt about the country on little excursions.
Tim has enjoyed live theatre throughout his life in a variety of roles both on and backstage. A reformed stage manager, Tim has found how to use his ability to herd cats in the digital world.
Adept with accents, Tim has been drafted into a number of Audio Drama podcasts and is a huge favorite among listeners and creators alike.
Tim has a natural inclination to coordinate, collaborate, and communicate. These skills have served him well throughout life in a variety of pursuits and they have made him a very valuable asset in any project he takes on.
What Mr. Bean can do with his face, Eric Perry can do with his voice — accents, inflection, attitude, even the voice equivalent of changing out of pants and into a bathing suit without offending, whatever that sounds like. Characters truly come to life and larger than life. Veteran of stage, film, podcasts, and more, Eric is adept at all performance arenas but feels most at home behind a mic.
Voice reel is imminent; for now check him out as Joe the Janitor, Dr. Friederich von Haber Zetzer, Mr Southers, and Howard on the comedy science fiction podcast Oz 9, wherever you listen to podcasts.
MARIETTA AND THE CREEPING NASTIES
Skinny, vicious snowmen. Candy toffees that change suddenly and with no explanation into black licorice. The Land of Incunabula (that’s Ink-you-NAB-you-lah) is sick, and only a child from Earth can save it! Come with Marietta as she battles the Dark Prince and his Creeping Nasties, learning about love and magic and friendship along the way. But pack your sword and your nose plugs — something here is rotten . . .
Marietta and the Creeping Nasties is a middle-grade fantasy fiction story about a girl who’s swept into all kinds of adventure in the mystical, parallel land of Incunabula. Our narrators read a chapter each to give you a sense of how they approach fiction, character differentiation, mood, etc.
