Who we are

Women-led and women-owned, Audiotocracy understands the power of podcast-plus-business. But enough about us…

What’s your story?

Our guiding principles:

  1. Show, don’t tell.
  2. Provide value, don’t sell.

Podcasts are how you show your audience who you are — a trustworthy resource with solutions to share and their best interests at heart. Here’s how that looks:

Talk about their pain points. What questions do your front-line staff hear over and over? Answer them in a podcast! Who wouldn’t love a company that clearly understands their customers?

Offer solutions. You’re not giving away the barn or the secret sauce or whatever we say these days. You’re establishing yourself as a trustworthy expert who will be top of mind when they need you.

Be human. “Authenticity” and “transparency” are buzzwords, yes, but they’re overused for a reason — humans like to know there’s a human behind the companies they frequent. Your voice, your sense of humor, your inability to pronounce “penguin” the same way twice running are what make casual listeners into fans.

But do podcasts work?

Yup.

They’re growing. According to Buzzsprout, more than a third (104 million) of Americans listen to podcasts regularly.

They’re great for business. Says Buzzsprout, 60% of listeners purchased something they heard about from a podcast ad. If listeners have questions you could answer and problems you can solve, be sure they can find you!

At Audiotocracy, we’re podcast producers and storytellers. But much more importantly, we’re the ones who’ll help tell the world who YOU are.

Philosophy

Podcasting is all about relationships: with your guests, your listeners, your customers.
Your relationship with your production team is important, too. That’s why we take the time to get to know you, understand your goals, and provide the content and technical support for your podcast to flourish.
We host weekly meetings with you while we co-ideate your show, and throughout production. We connect with your guests to help optimize their audio quality. We're hyper responsive to your communication and needs.
We’re here to make it easy. And fun!

Vision

To provide platforms for businesses, organizations, and people to share their knowledge and expertise. We help you connect with your audiences on a new and more intimate level. Done well, podcasts are a great leveler of playing fields: cost-effective, global, compelling.

Policy

While we embrace a diversity of voices and stories, we reserve the right to forego working with anyone whose story discriminates against others based on certain personal characteristics, such as race, ethnicity, sex, age, sexual orientation and gender identity, among others. We will not work with anyone who promotes hatred or violence.

Heather McLaughlin

Heather McLaughlin, our Administrative Director, is also the owner of Financial Scene Bookkeeping. One of those rare individuals who finds tax laws “fascinating,” she is precious and kept in a small bottle under the stairs. When not untangling artists’ attempts to play with numbers, Heather can usually be found reading or running.

Shannon Hull is a Landscape and Wildlife Photographer, professional videographer and editor, and winner of 8 National Academy of Television Arts and Science Emmy Awards. Amazed by the natural beauty of this world, she has started picking up her still camera more than her video camera. You can purchase wall art, greeting cards and other keepsakes of her landscape and wildlife photos from her website. Follow her on Facebook and Instagram to learn more.
